An Thorne RMT

// Registered Massage Therapist

An is a sensitive and intuitive person whose first goal is to help the client feel more connected to their physical healing. An brings a deep listening with all of their senses to the work of massage therapy. Their intuitive nature combined with extensive training in treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions creates a fruitful environment to facilitate a positive change to occur with the client.

Ans training includes  working with muscle strains, tendinitis, MVI or any injury recovery, and a wide range of different neurological and systemic autoimmune conditions. An also understands how tension or pain felt in the body can stem not just from physical injury but other holding patterns created by stress, emotional trauma, and our bodies postural architecture. Regardless of what the client is coming in for, An will tailor the treatment to the clients needs and desires, ensuring a therapeutic and specific massage.

In their free time you’ll find An engrossed in the garden growing food as well as using their carpentry background to build small structures such as saunas or tiny homes for their friends. An is a longtime advocate for social justice  and understands the intersectional ways that peoples histories of trauma or discrimination impact their health. Their  understandings of these issues inform the way they are able to offer nuanced and sensitive therapeutic touch.
